I am currently reading a Christian novel. Hardly my cup of tea, but there's a reason why I'm reading it. I met the author, and he signed a very nice note in the book for me. Chris, an officer in podunk West Virginia, was a student in my class last week, and started telling me about his book which was just published. He wrote the book for his uncle while he was stationed overseas. Instead of sending him letters, Chris would write and send him pages of his story, which features the uncle as hero. Pretty cool. The power of prayer and scripture are big themes as the four characters fight their own personal demons. The story itself; meh. But if you think of it as a story that emerged to an uncle in the military, its pretty good. Anyhow, the book is called Conquering the Devil's Triangle by C.W. Leigh. Its available from Amazon and Barnes and Noble. In case anyone cares. But Chris is a good guy, so here's my plug for him.

So the charges against Karr have been dropped. No surprise. My friend who does statement analysis work says that had Karr been the killer, this would only be the second time that he was wrong. The other time was about a husband that murdered his wife, only he didn't. The deception and sensitivity in his statements were because he beat his wife. Anyhow, statement analysis is great fun.

I ordered a few CDs from Amazon, since I have $50 in reward certificates. I got Faceless from Godsmack, Tough All Over by Gary Allan, Buzz Ballads, and Skid Row's first CD for Tom, since his was stolen. I have really varied taste in music.

Tom made me supper tonight. He has his moments. I guess that's why I keep him. *snuggles*

I think that's enough for tonight. I am making myself go to bed early, so I can do a fitness tape in the morning before work. Hopefully I can roll out of bed in the morning. Wish me luck with that,

3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 4 sentences on your LJ along with these instructions.
5. Don’t you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest.
6. Tag five people.

While political means may be used to promote tactical surprise, this method is of particular value as a strategic measure to conceal intent. Moreover it is one of the most economical means of deception and one in which the likelihood of disclosure is remote, since so few people need to be involved in the plan. There are a variety of political deception tactics, of which we will note a few:
The direct or indirect falsehoods may be put forth through diplomatic channels, official statements, the press, and other media.

From Anticipating Surprise, by Cynthia M. Grabo. I'm at work, so that's what you get. If I were at home, it probably would have been something from a Julie Garwood romance. This book looks interesting though now, so I may have to read it.

Tag! Anyone who feels like it, because that's just how I feel today.
