My first thought this morning when I heard President Ford died: "I wonder if I’ll get a day off work?" That’s just wrong.
Christmas was good. Tommy got me an I-pod, which I’ve named Junior. Junior is a nano and is shiny green. I’m sure Tom will regret buying it for me because I refuse to take it off. He also got me a nice armband thingy so I can take it to the gym with me. I like having it clipped to my arm. I can do anything with it on. I just wish I was allowed to have it with me here in the office. He also got me a mug and a CD that I meant to bring to work with me today, but I forgot them. Everyone seemed to like what I got them this year too.
It was so hard to get up this morning after 4 days off, but I honestly had enough of being at home. It didn’t help that Tom turned off the alarm this morning before I heard it, so I got up later than I wanted too. My butt is dragging. I turned off the television at 1:00 am, and I was just lying there when Tom came to bed after 2:00.
We fried our turkey on Christmas day, and it turned out really, really good. We spent a lot of time with our friends this past week, and I’m all friended out. Everyone went out last night again, but I stayed home with Junior and enjoyed my quiet time.
Greg and Kathy want us to come over for New Year’s eve. *sigh* I’m not sure I want to go. Last year involved a very drunk guy that wouldn’t leave me alone, and a severe asthma attack, which I think was caused by the 700 scented candles she had burning. This year they’ve gotten two kitties (I love them!) but they are not allergy friendly, and she mentioned something about the kitties peeing in the carpet the other day. I know Jill wants to go to the party out at the Lodge, which is always fun if some of our other friends go. But I’d be happy sitting down Tony’s or staying home. We’ve been together 9 years and haven’t stayed home once.
I’m sure I’ve left out a bunch of stuff I wanted to tell you, but I forget.
Much love.
